Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-D5SC or 281GGFJPD5SC, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. The 281 Series builds on the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% increase in clutch-pack disc thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications, and rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues at pump mounting. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) safeguards driven equipment. Common markets include fire and rescue, truck cranes, refuse, and pumper-cleaner applications.
