Description
The Chelsea 282XDAJX-A3BD or 282XDAJXA3BD is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot shift Power Take-Off Assembly from the Chelsea 282 Series. The 282 Series supports intermittent torque ratings of 201 to 300 lb-ft (401 to 500 Nm) and is available with pneumatic or hydraulic (PowerShift) shift. Shaft power output reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The series features nine speed ratios, 18 shift options, rotatable flanges, and an integral air valve. Direct-mount configurations include an optional Wet-Spline design for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Common applications include aerial, construction equipment, water trucks, towing and recovery, and fuel oil delivery. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission. The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO line, combining elements of the 238 Series with updated components. The series offers nine speed ratios and 18 shift configurations. Direct-mount outputs include optional Wet-Spline technology, while driveshaft output models include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. A Smart Start option is available for high-torque start-up situations.
