Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GRAHX-V3RB or 489GRAHXV3RB, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to the transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec, eliminating the adapter plate that creates an additional leak path. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, the same torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key option. Shaft power is rated 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an output power range of 46-55 HP. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-carrying capability, and internal parts are common to the 442 Series.
