Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489KLABX-A6XK or 489KLABXA6XK, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built on an 8-bolt, one-piece cast iron housing that bolts directly to the transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. The integral housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); continuous torque is de-rated 30% from that figure (check application pages for actual ratings). Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
