Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489KWBGX-V3XD or 489KWBGXV3XD, mounts directly to manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO opening, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate, removing a potential leak path and cutting installation time. Output is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), matching the 442 Series rating. Shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load capacity. Twenty-seven output options are available in the series, and internal parts are common with the 442 Series.
