Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XSAHX-A3RY or 489XSAHXA3RY, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, and Mack applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on older designs, removing a potential leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for this series runs 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard; an electric-over-air shift option is also available within the 489 Series. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
