Description
The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XDFJP-M3RY or 878XDFJPM3RY, is a constant mesh PTO engineered to mount on Allison 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series is an advancement on the proven 877 Series design, incorporating a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibrational damage, and an 80% increase in steel disc thickness within the clutch pack. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce clearance and interference issues, while the Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling.
